Rosemount Tuned Level Systtem 03-2023

2051 IOM (09-2020)

Pressure transmitters are used to measure pressure: absolute - psia, differential - psid and gauge – psig providing an output signal, usually 4-20mAdc, to controllers, control systems, panel meters, PLCs, and recorders for monitoring and/or controlling process operations.

Rosemount 2051L level transmitters set the industry standard for using pressure and differential pressure measurement to monitor and control level in a wide range of vessels including Boiler Water Deaerators, Refinery Columns and Towers, and Storage Tanks containing chemicals, oils, water, and other liquids.

The 2051L level transmitters are used to improve commercial and industrial operations by providing process efficiencies and increased safety in critical applications by offering dependable, accurate level measurement. These level transmitters are easily installed and configured, reducing installation and set up times. They operate dependably in tough environments and are SIL 2/3 Safety Certified to IEC 61508 for safety compliance. As a result they are often used in overfill protection systems to meet regulatory requirements.

The Rosemount 2051L level transmitter is flange mounted, built with 2”, 3”, or 4” Class 150 or 300 carbon steel or stainless steel flanges. The standard model is built for vented vessels with atmospheric pressure. The transmitter can be used with sealed vessels with other pressures or vacuum by adding a Rosemount 1199 or 1299 remote seal to provide a Tuned-System which adjusts the level output for non atmospheric vessel conditions.

The 2051L pressure sensing diaphragms can be built with 316L Stainless Steel, Alloy C-276, or Tantalum to operate with difficult vessel contents such as acids, phosphates, and wastewater. For the high pressure diaphragm a number of fill fluids are available such as Silicone 200 & 704, which can be used for vacuum applications, Inert (halocarbon), Glycerin and water Neobee M-20, Propylene Glycol and water, or Syltherm XLT for temperatures as low as -157 F.

A flushing ring option is also available. It mounts between the vessel flange and the transmitter flange. Built with one or two NPT taps it is used to provide an entry point to flush the diaphragm and to apply pressure to calibrate the transmitter.
